Citizens Against Government Waste Honors Senator Lankford as “Taxpayer Super Hero”

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today was awarded by the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) as a “Taxpayer Super Hero”. Lankford was one of only four lawmakers to earn a perfect score from CCAGW 2016 Congressional Ratings

CCAGW President Tom Schatz said, “We applaud and wholeheartedly thank Senator Lankford for his tireless work on behalf of the taxpayers while serving in Congress. Senator Lankford’s courageous work to expose wasteful spending in his annual Federal Fumbles report and his consistent fiscally conservative voting record show serve as an example to other members, encouraging them to make good on promises to protect the fiscal interest of American Taxpayers.”

The annual report issued by CCAGW highlights the voting records of all 535 members of Congress and identifies members with voting records that help protect and save taxpayers dollars.

The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste is the advocate arm of Citizens Against Government Waste, the nation’s largest nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in government.

Lankford’s lifetime rating with CCAGW is 99 percent for his fight against waste and advocacy for more government transparency, like his Taxpayers Right to Know Act, which passed a Senate Committee today.
