WASHINGTON, DC – The Office of Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today released the latest episode of The Breakdown with James Lankford. Lankford is joined by former Deputy National Security Advisor and expert on China Matt Pottinger. Lankford introduced the Safeguarding Internet Freedom in Hong Kong Act, which passed the Senate last year, and the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act which recently became law. He also called on the International Olympic Committee to relocate the 2022 Winter Games in response to China’s long list of human rights abuses. He is pushing to impose sanctions on the Chinese Communist Party for blocking investigations into the origins of COVID-19. Lankford wants to stop the spread of China’s control by countering the CCP’s international economic coercion and by demanding that the Biden administration enforce sanctions on Iran Oil Tankers who illegally ship oil to China.
