Lankford, Inhofe Celebrate OU Women’s Softball Team WCWS Title

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK  Senators James Lankford (R-OK) and Jim Inhofe (R-OK) made the following comments after the Senate passed S.Res.700 congratulating the University of Oklahoma Sooners softball team on winning the 2022 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Women’s College World Series (WCWS).

“Oklahoma is proud of the women of OU softball and now the US Senate has formally recognized and celebrated the OU Softball team for their sixth national championship win,” said Lankford. “This recognition highlights the dedication and drive displayed by each player, coach and staff member. I look forward to watching this team of outstanding athletes carry on their incredible legacy. Boomer Sooner!”

“For the second year in a row, it is a joy to lead the Senate in congratulating the University of Oklahoma Sooners softball team on taking home the 2022 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Women’s College World Series title,” Inhofe said. “Not only has this team’s persistence and talent made me proud, but they’ve made the state of Oklahoma proud as well.”
