WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today questioned FBI Director Christopher Wray and DHS Acting Director Elaine Duke during a Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs hearing on the most pressing security threats to our American homeland. During part one of Lankford’s questioning of witnesses, Lankford discussed a Jones Act request to help Puerto Rico hurricane recovery, DHS and FEMA disaster relief for houses of worship, election security and Russia’s meddling in the American NFL anthem controversy, and the Executive Branch request for the President’s border security agenda. During part two of Lankford’s questioning of witnesses, Lankford discussed FBI definition and tracking of ‘hate groups,’ immigration Visa overstay enforcement, and state cyber readiness for the 2018 election security.
