Lankford Tours Flood Damage In Southern Oklahoma
TISHOMINGO, OK – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today toured flood damage in Tishomingo, Oklahoma during a visit to southern Oklahoma. During the past 72 hours, Oklahoma and Texas have seen record-setting rain falls that have caused damage and even led to deaths.
“Oklahoma is no stranger to severe weather, but it is difficult to view the devastation and damage caused by flood waters,” said Lankford. “Our thoughts and prayers are with those who helplessly stand and watch the rising waters cover their homes and land. Tishomingo has seen an incredible economic revival in the past few years. I am confident that neighbors, churches, the State of Oklahoma and federal disaster response will stand with the people of southern Oklahoma and around the state who are directly affected by the flood waters. My office is available to help with the recovery in any way possible.”
