Senator Lankford Introduces Tulsa Attorney at Judiciary Nomination Hearing

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today introduced John O’Connor, a Tulsa attorney, at his confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee. O’Connor was nominated by the President on April 10 to serve as District Judge on the US District Court for the Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma. O’Connor is currently an attorney at Hall Estill, a Tulsa-based regional full service law firm.

Excerpts from Senator Lankford’s remarks:

(:36-1:08) John currently serves as an attorney at Hall Estill, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and brings over 30 years of experience in the field of law. He has an AV peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer and a Best Lawyer in America. He was also one of ten attorneys who were selected by the Editorial Board of the Tulsa Business Journal to be recognized among Tulsa’s 2012 Power Attorneys. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Oklahoma State University and graduated law school from the University of Tulsa College of Law. 

(1:31-1:41) He is, in our state, a very respected attorney and he will continue to serve Oklahoma and the nation well as a federal district court judge in the Eastern and Northern Districts.
